Endoscopy
Endoscopy: securing procedures with high infectious risk
Endoscopy procedures involve the use of medical devices in direct contact with mucous membranes, biological fluids, and sometimes blood. The risk of infection is therefore particularly high, for both patients and healthcare professionals.
Controlling this risk relies on the rigorous reprocessing of medical devices, as well as the regular disinfection of the care environment. Work surfaces, contact surfaces, trolleys, peripheral equipment, handles, keyboards, screens and control interfaces must be integrated into a global hygiene strategy.
For devices requiring high-level disinfection, THX Medical recommends ULTRASOL OXY, a solution adapted to the requirements of endoscopy. Its efficacy meets the EN 17846 standard, achieved in 5 minutes under dirty conditions, to support disinfection protocols for heat-sensitive medical devices.
In addition, we recommend EXAWIPES O for routine disinfection of surfaces, worktops, trolleys and surrounding equipment.
For IT equipment and sensitive equipment present in the examination room, DESCOSEPT SENSITIVE WIPES allows for the cleaning and disinfection of keyboards, mice, screens, consoles and control interfaces.
